Developers have proposed the construction of 95 townhomes in this vulnerable area, a move that could potentially decimate its unique wetlands. Our already congested roads would face even heavier traffic, exacerbating a situation that has unfortunately borne witness to too many pedestrian injuries and fatalities.

The compelling need of the hour is for the city to acquire this land, preserving it as a permanent green space or converting it into a passive park that residents can enjoy in perpetuity. Such an action would safeguard our community from increased flooding and vehicular hazards while allowing local flora and fauna to thrive without threat.
