The purpose of this petition is to put permanent traffic lights at the intersection at Columbian and Forest streets in Weymouth.

This intersection has been extremely dangerous for many years. Too long has it been a concern for public safety. Vehicles turning left off of Forest onto Columbian or left off of Columbian onto Forest may have it the worst. Many accidents have occurred here and many will be to come if a change doesn't happen.

Temporary traffic lights were put in place not too long ago due to the reconstruction of the dam on Randolph street and it worked. However when construction was completed the traffic lights went away. They need to come back permanently!

As residents and tax payers in the town of Weymouth we deserve adequate public safety.
