as a fan of the Percy Jackson book series, when I watched the movies.. I was horrified. 

before I read the books, I watched the movies. I didn't think they were bad. in fact, I loved them. they're not bad movies if you don't compare them to the books. but honestly, the only thing that's even similar is the names of the characters. like, the whole pearl thing?? that was so random!! and the hydra! even thinking about it makes me angry.

when fandom's watch movies based on their books, they're supposed to see what they've always imagined and loved come to real life. the Percy Jackson movies.. are a joke. they add stuff that never happened, they change so many things, ANNABETH ISN'T EVEN BLONDE!

I wouldn't even care so much about the hair color if she actually acted like annabeth did in the book. she's nothing like her. 

The Lightening Thief movie was really bad. don't even get me started on The Sea of Monsters. the movies are shameful to Rick's Riordan's amazing writing.
