Why plastic bottles instead of glass bottles or cans?

Now  ea days even 300ml softdrinks are also being sold on plastic bottles instead of glass bottles or cans.

In most of the countries companies are not allowed to sell softdrinks in plastic bottles.

We need to stop companies to sell softdrinks on plastic bottles to save environment.
