Pepperdine’s policy regarding the LGBTQ+ community encourages a discriminatory atmosphere, delegitimizes relationships between queer people in the Pepperdine community, and it is also inconsistent with the professed Christian mission set forth by the University. The environment which allows this separation puts the health and wellbeing, as well as the experience of Pepperdine, in jeopardy for queer students.
