To the finance minister And President of the Republic of South Africa.

I am person who is living with a disability and I am currently unemployed the disability grant is my only source of income but it only covers some basic needs. 

I would like the government to atleast increase the disability grant by R300 in 2020 -2021 making it R2000. We have food to buy, clothes, water and electricity, toiletries and some people living with disabilities are on medication and medication on it's own it's expensive.  

In most households the disabled individual has to use their grant money to take care of the family especially if no one is employed. People with disabilities have more needs than able body people and it is extremely difficult for us to survive with R1780 a month. We are also human beings, we are part of the society, community and most importantly we are South African citizens.

We have voted for the current government/ the current leadership because we believe that it will take care of our needs, that we won't have to struggle the way we do right now.
