an undisclosed person applied to the freedom of information act requesting names, addresses and farm business registration numbers (fbr) for all those farming in ontario. ontario federation of ontario (ofa) said no, farmer's union of ontario (fuo) said no, christian farmers federation of ontario (cffo) said no ... none of those voices were acknowledged. ontario ministry of farming and rural affairs (omafra) said yes. the person requesting the information remains anonymous.

this disclosure of this private information must be stopped! who is the mysterious entity requesting the information? developers? dupont? salespeople? 

if we are to have a fair playing field, omafra should disclose all employee/contractor/vendor information along with salary information as well as the names of who were a part of the process for releasing this private information.

those keeping ontario fed and healthy should not be treated like this! full disclosure of the entire process must be brought to light. omafra has no right to sell/give the information of our most valuable demographic out PERIOD.

please contact the minister of agriculture ernie hardeman and tell him how unjust this disclosure of private information is.
