For the past 100 years people have tried to get the Upper Peninsula Michigan to become the 51st state. It failed because of communication issues. With social media, the power of information and connection is the heart of it.

Upper Peninsula is a vast and beautiful area, one of the last "Natural beauty" places in America that hasn't been urbanized, or completely destroyed by toxicity. The people of U.P. want to preserve the way of life. To protect the resources.

Yoopers are tired of the politics of the Lower State Michigan, which generally pays attention to huge Inner city laws. Those laws have no bearing on us, but they do have a negative impact in the economy, and livelihood of the residents in the U.P.

Plus Yoopers are sick and tired of the Government exploiting the lands and resources for financial gains, and in return being the last to receive any kind of emergency assistance. Hence the Fathers Day Flooding a few years back.

We got it done, copper country style. We are strong, we are hard working to fit the hard way of life up here.

No more... Time to become our own state to control our own economy and resources for the benefit of Yoopers, Not lower state greed and politics.
