A local World-class Spinal Surgeon is at risk of being forced to move from our region.

Dr Richard Emery is one of,if not the best and most experienced Spinal Surgeons here in Townsville. Dr Emery has multiple Degrees in relation to the work he does here for the people of Townsville as well as being recently titled AOSpine Educational Advisor for the Asia-Pacific region.

Being treated by him myself for a back injury I speak from experience in saying that Dr Emery is one of,if not the VERY best spinal surgeon we have here in North Queensland.

We are in grave danger of losing his services as it appears that some medical and political difference have arose . Due to this he feels that he has no choice but to leave.

Dr Emery is known to accept the challenging spinal operations most specialists here in North Queensland refuse to do. You or someone you know may need a spinal specialist of his expertise one day. Without him up here people requiring treatment may need to travel as far as Brisbane to receive the care they need.
