Stop Animal Testing Once and For All

Stop Animal Testing Once and For All
The Issue
How would you feel if researchers wanted to take your house pet that you've had for many years, lock them in a laboratory and use them to measure the toxic effects of a product? Or if you saw someone wearing their fur as a coat? Although it is gruesome and difficult to think about, it is the inevitable truth of animal testing. More than 100 million animals around the world each year are the victims of the testing of products in the cosmetic, fashion, medical, and food industries. Rodents, dogs, monkeys, fish, birds, and more are killed, mutated, and deformed as a result. Not only is it unethical to harm these animals, but often times their torture goes without reason. Recent studies have shown that tests on animals often fail to even predict outcomes in humans. Tests on animals are immoral, expensive, and unnecessary.
Industries would benefit much more from alternatives to animal testing. Today's scientists have come up with new methods that do not involve the torment of animals. Instead, they are using human cells and tissue to test products, as well as other methods that cause no harm to any species. They cost less money and are much less extensive. These modern non-animal research and testing methods will change the way products are tested and save millions of animals from being harmed and killed around the world.
I am well aware that not everyone is a scientist in a laboratory that is able to use research methods to find other alternatives to animal testing. However, people can have a greater effect in this cause and do much more than they think. By simply buying from cruelty free makeup brands, and wearing faux fur, you are already saving millions of animals. If these industries see that people are less interested and refuse to buy products that have been tested on animals, they will also seek change in their methods of testing. The Animal Welfare Act is currently the only U.S federal law involving animal testing and research. With the help of scientists and people around the world, we can help the government pass more regulations and take more actions against animal testing methods.
Join the movement and save millions of animals today.
