Their reptiles are kept in dying condition without water and other basic necessities for long periods of time. They handle them awfully and never properly clean them. Most are extremely underweight and kept in plastic bags or containers. It made me tear up and sick to my stomach when I watched PETA’s video. The working conditions look contaminated and unsafe for the workers and the animals who were found to have many health issues easily treatable by vets, but they still refused treatment. The animals are treated like inanimate objects that can’t feel or think. They let the limbs fall off the poor little creatures and leave them to die. Their little lives mean nothing to these sick people. The workers try their best to help them but they just aren’t qualified. The workers put cruel glue traps for escaped animals simply because they didn’t know better. I feel sympathy for the workers because they don’t know what they are doing and just play follow the leader. They just want pay, which I can understand, but the higher ups of this god forsaken company need to pay for their actions. I want to shut down their facilities and make sure ALL the reptiles are treated with care and brought too a comfortable and caring home whether that be a family or a rehab center. I know I’m only a 13 year old with no power over anything or anyone, but there needs to be a change and people need to hear what I have to say. If you sign your name on this petition, a bearded dragon may be able to walk again. A snake may be able to find a healthy place. A turtle may be able to get it’s broken shell mended. I truly hope you find it within your heart to help them out-because they also live, just like us, they also breath and eat and mate and think and suffer just like us.
