Hookstown PA is home to Hookstown Fair . They have elephants confined for days on end, with big heavy saddles, giving rides to children until they are completely exhausted. Animals are not fair attractions, elephants in particular are majestic creatures that have special needs. Elephants have an inherent need to roam , they have no way to do that being confined , walking in circles at a County Fair. Using elephants as Circus attractions has finally almost come to an end in the United States. What about fairground use? It's not right. Id like to see these animals get to a sanctuary where they are free to roam. It is just heartbreaking to watch these big beautiful creatures walk in circles all day, being transported from fair to fair in trucks, forced to work. I personally contacted multiple Hookstown PA fair committee members. THREE MEMBERS hung up on me and refused to speak on the wellness of these animals. Before they hung up ON ME FOR THE LAST TIME,  they claimed it was an educational  program and that I would learn something if I paid for a ticket to visit. I explained that I know a lot about elephants, and I know that confining them is wrong and abusive. I know how people aquire elephants and its usually a very heartbreaking scenario. Sentencing these animals to a lifetime of labor, stuck in close quarters is wrong.  Please sign this petition now to get the attention of Peta and The Hookstown Fair Committee.
