Back in December of 2017, my English Bulldog Cooper was taken to Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey to perform an ACL surgery.
He came home with severe skin irritations all over his body, and after checking twice at the clinic about the wounds that started bleeding, the veterinarian said it was just allergies, prescribed allergy medications and said he was not worried about them.
The wounds started opening up and I got worried, so I took my bulldog to another veterinarian for a second opinion. There, I found out that Cooper had 3rd degree burns all over his body, caused by heating pads used after his ACL surgery.
Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital cannot do anything to fix the problem, make up for the suffering caused to my dog and to myself seeing him this way. After researching online, this is not an isolated case, and some dogs may even die from this veterinarian malpractice!!!
To make this stop for good, I am creating this petition to bring awareness to the issue and request the organizations in charge to completely ban heating pads from veterinarian clinics to avoid injuring more pets in our nation.
Are you with me? Please sign and lets save our pets from unnecessary suffering!
