Kalindi Priyadarshini started this petition to People by asking its government and

According to the Kotak Institutional Equities Report “Unemployment rate is highest among youth with education until diploma (37%), graduate (36%) and postgraduate and above (36%), suggesting the lack of opportunities for a higher-skilled workforce”. "About 18.6 million Indians were jobless and another 393.7 million work in poor-quality jobs vulnerable to displacement", states the Pew report.

With the crippling of the demographic dividend by a massive job crunch signified by the decreasing employment elasticity in the highest of employment enhancibility potential ratios of construction, trade, transport, and storage as also education and financial services which has led to increased bulging of the Lorenz curve. This, in turn, has led to greater alienation amongst the masses and as a result, of the fallout of anticipatory socialization is leading to brain-drain.

As an empty mind is a devil’s workshop, it also has negative fallouts in the form of increasing crime and delinquency, anomie, slums, a crime against women, addiction to drugs and several such negative outcomes.

The ‘life-work’ balance as it should be, is in tatters. This skewed ‘life-work’ balance has negative externalities manifested in the form of deteriorating physical and mental health conditions, breaking down of the institution of family, reduced purists of interests and hobbies, reduced the number of jobs in the market and has turned men to machines as Karl Marx would say.

It’s you and me and everyone around us that is involved. Don’t you again want the entire family to have dinner again together? Don’t you want to go to picnics on weekends? Don’t you want to participate in your child’s growing up and parents growing old? Don’t you want to spend quality time with your spouse?  Won’t you wish for the same if you were in their place? Don’t you wish for your fellow job-seekers to have a chance at a decent standard of living and a source of income?

Join me and sign my petition as I care for reducing the number of working hours to 6 hours per day 5 days a week by which we create more employability for our fellow brethren and peace of mind for ourselves, our families and society at large. We need to instigate this revolution and not wait for a country to be developed to reach this understanding.

I petition @narendramodi @ministryoflabour to make citizens’ life balanced and wholesome.
