This will most highly effect reptile and fish breeders and enthusiasts, and also "crazy cat ladies." They propose we register and pay taxes on all our animals for $8.50 to $25 each. As someone who aspires to educate people on reptiles and amphibians I have many reptiles for this purpose and also because I love them. Even at just 8.50 thats nearly $200 a year right now and thats just 16 animals. You have a large bioactive fish tank with 50+ fish? Thats over $1k. Colorado is encouraging people not to get pets. All the dogs in kill shelters will never find homes and be put down. But its okay right? For the Colorado Government to take money from us because we love animals.
