Penny Wong...No to Australia being involved in Israel/USA bombing Iran

The issue

As an Australian, I strongly believe that our nation should not be complicit in aggressive military actions orchestrated by Israel and the USA, specifically targeting Iran. Australians, by and large, are peace-loving people who do not wish to see our country involved in a war that does not resonate with our values or serve our national interests.

War mongers such as Benjamin Netanyahu and Donald Trump have consistently demonstrated an approach that many Australians deplore.

A September 2023 survey conducted by the Lowy Institute reveals that 72% of Australians prioritize diplomatic solutions over military interventions in international conflicts. This overwhelming majority underscores the collective desire to distance ourselves from policies and actions that can escalate tensions and lead to unnecessary loss of life.

Furthermore, Australia's participation in any military conflict threatens our international standing and could have severe economic repercussions, affecting trade relations and global partnerships.

Our government has always championed democracy, human rights, and peaceful resolutions. By choosing diplomacy, Australia can reinforce its reputation as a nation committed to peace and constructive dialogue.

Let's urge our government to take a clear stand against joining or supporting any military actions led by Israel and the USA against Iran. Sign this petition to advocate for peace, urging our leaders to foster diplomacy over warfare.

Say no to getting Australia involved in the Israel/USA hatred for others
