This child is facing up to 2 years in prison and a permanent black mark that employers will see in the future. This may cause his to never be able to hold certain jobs, or cause him hardship finding a job in general. This ruins a boy's life who still is young and just needs guidance. The church itself didn't want to press charges, just prayers. The boy needs help, not jail!
