Justice for Maxwell Schollenberger
The Issue
The homicide of a 12 year old boy who only Weighed 47.5 lbs took place sometime in May of 2020. He was locked in a room and never got to see the light of day, with his door locked and windows bolted shut he was kept there to starve. He was only given an inch of water a day and was found dead lying in his own feces. He suffered a most painful And heartbreaking death and his “parents” deserve the worst. I think they should be locked up for 12 years and then sentenced to death. They should have to wait each day as their time drawl closer. This little boy deserves justice and putting them behind bars for life will not do the job. I am a devoted Christian and am very forgiving, however I can not forgive someone for doing that to a 12 year old boy who did not deserve that. God can do the forgiving in Heaven, but here on hearth; I think justice needs to be served. Maxwell never got to experience a loving family, or any love for that matter. He never got the joys of learning to read or ride a bike or get his first goal scoring a soccer ball...all great things all little kids should experience. His was locked in a house with nobody ever caring for him. He never went to school. I can’t imagine how lonely and confused he must have felt and I will be just as confused if justice is not served for him and his parents don’t get the death penalty.
