Penn Foster is one of the leading online school programs. Their degree programs are optimal for those who are working full time, raising their families, or otherwise leading busy lives as their programs are largely self-paced. 

Individuals in their Veterinary Academy's Veterinary Technician Program must complete 4 semesters of coursework to be awarded the Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology. However, due to COVID-19, their students are having a harder time than ever to find sites for their clinical externships (the first of which is required after their 2nd semester, before being allowed to start their 3rd semester). Therefore, dozens of students are stuck, struggling to find externship sites.

Because of this, we ask that Penn Foster allow students to continue on to their 3rd semester and delay doing their externship until they can find and locate an externship site. Students should not be forced to travel far distances from home or work to attempt to obtain their externship hours, risking their own health, and potentially spreading COVID-19 further.

Please, Penn Foster College; allow students to postpone their externship and continue with their 3rd semester.
