Pearcedale's mountain bike community has grown greatly over the past 10 years. It has been a great way for younger and older generations to get together and enjoy physical activity outside, and develop life long friendships. Unfortunately with no suitable place to ride, young riders have taken responsibility into their own hands and started to build in any possible spot to have some enjoyment and fun with friends. From an environmentally conscious standpoint, this has caused damage to the native environment, but also the aesthetic to our small town. Pearcedale has had a 'bmx track' (located behind the skatepark) for a long time, but as it has neither been built or designed properly, it has become rare to see it get any use at all. This petition is looking to get a backing for a modern and revised jump park, which is suitable for this generations riders.
