We are deeply saddened and profoundly outraged as we mourn events in Israel, Palestine, and the actions of Hamas. Further violence, atrocities, and death against innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Israel are senseless and must stop. We call for an end to war crimes including collective punishment and hostage taking. 

The United Nations asks world leaders for immediate humanitarian aid, release of the hostages, and an unconditional ceasefire. Governments must respect International Laws, not use citizens as human shields, refrain from indiscriminate bombing of hospitals, and allow promised humanitarian aid to flow. Surrounding Arab and Islamic countries are urged to participate in allowing Palestinians to emigrate and hold jobs.

Immediate talks are essential. War is never the solution. Peace is every step.
