We Mekelle University academic staff members didn't receive our salary of 17 months salary (Starting from July 2021 - Nov 2023) in relation with the war in Tigray, which is also the case for almost all civil servants in Tigray. We are civil servants, our salary payments are blocked for unreasonable grounds and we are strongly demanding our institution/the Federal Government to pay us back. It is a clear violation of our contract rights and severely affecting our daily life. 

We are signing this petition to make our voices heard and put a pressure on the concerned organs to deliver on their end of the contract as we are fulfilling all of our obligations with no hesitation whatsoever.
