Save our future pets !!!

The Issue

Balto, a border collie mix, had a really rough life.  He has been in and out of homes due to aggressiveness towards people and animals, but has such a loving heart if given the time of day.  Balto stayed at Norwichtown Pet Resort and Spa Inc. in Norwich, Connecticut.  There, he was taken very good care of by all of his loving staff, as well as a few volunteers, every single day for a year.  He was taken on walks in the early mornings, afternoons, and nights, played with, cuddled, with, and fed so many delicious treats because he was such a good boy! BarkVille Dog Rescue from Roswell, Georgia, decided to contact Norwichtown and step in.  They told Norwichtown they would bring him to a foster home and get him a trainer to gradually overcome his aggressive behavior.  About two weeks before Balto was in the hands of Barkville, someone overheard them saying they were just going to euthanize him, but to "keep it a secret".  So, Norwichtown put their feet down to prevent this horrible behavior.  After battling back and forth about what would happen to Balto, Barkville agreed they would look for a welcoming home for him while getting him the right training he needed.  After a long car ride and a couple days of not giving Balto his daily dosage of Prozac, he was taken to the vet.  Without thinking of mentioning ANYTHING about Balto's past to the vet, the vet jumped to conclusions and immediately said he was in no condition to rehabilitate.  BarkVille decided to take the easy way out and euthanize him only short after his vet visit.  Even though Balto didn't have a set home, he held a special place in the hearts of every staff member and volunteer at Norwichtown.  Dogs have some of the kindest hearts, even more than humans, clearly.  Balto didn't deserve this "punishment".  PLEASE help us shut Barkville Dog Rescue down and end animal cruelty.  All Balto needed was a chance of love and we need to make sure our future animals get the love Balto deserved, for a lifetime.
