Pause the Unmanaged Apartment Growth in Pooler Georgia

The Issue

This petition impacts every citizen in Pooler, Georgia.  In Pooler, 34.07% of homes are multifamily.  Nationally, about 29% of the existing housing stock consists of multifamily units.  Currently, over 12% of Pooler’s apartment complexes are reporting on rent.com and Zillow between 11.6 and 13 percent vacancy rate. In addition there are over 1,200 apartments newly built or being built this year that are not in the current vacancy rate.   Most home buyers want to avoid vacancies. Not only are vacant properties targets for squatters, but it tends to diminish home values over time.

WE ARE BECOMING A MULTIFAMILY COMMUNITY, it is time to stop this trend to preserve our cities values and what is most families largest lifetime investment is their home value.

Sign our petition and help us send a message to our Mayor and City Council as well as the Planning and Zoning Commission to stop building multifamily homes and embrace building single family homes.

The donation requests to Change.org are voluntary and goes to that organization exclusively.
