If you have ever been to Derby City Centre, you will notice a lot of "homeless" people asking for money. But, how do we know if people are actually homeless or just begging for money to buy drugs and alcohol? The thing is, we can't know. I personally feel guilty when I walk past a 'homeless' person without giving them any money, but you can't go round giving everybody you see a few pounds, can you? My point is, we need a way to feed the people who are actually homeless without promoting panhandling. This is why - and many people agree with me - that we should plant fruit and vegetables in Derby City Centre! That way, people who are actually homeless can go and get some food for themselves without having to beg.

We could have a special area just for the homeless to come and eat some fresh fruits and veg for free, or we could plant some fruit trees ect everywhere around Derby City Centre. It would be a perfect idea, wouldn't it? The homeless get to eat, and people don't have to risk supporting panhandling.

One signature can make a real difference. So please, sign this petition, share with friends and family or chip in a few pounds. It only takes a few seconds to bring change!
