Puppy mills should be illegal across the United States because all animals should face warmth, care, and genetic quality from the time they are born until they pass away. Puppy mill puppies face severe abuse, because puppy mill breeders are only concerned with the profit of these puppies, instead of their well being. I would like for congress to support puppy mills being illegal in the United States, as well as encouraging adopting animals instead of buying from pet stores (often pet stores buy their animals from puppy mills). Puppy mills coming to an end, would encourage more and more people to purchase their animals from humane societies, giving a chance to many animals that are euthanized.
