Animal testing is a big issue that is still happening today. Animal testing is not just wrong for humane and cruelty reasons but is also wrong because it is not too credible. All cosmetic brands should stop using animal research. 

Animal testing started in early Greece and was performed to understand the anatomy of organisms. These doctors believed that this was alright because, unlike humans, animals are not intelligent, and making them conclude that animals cannot understand or feel pain, this incorrect. Animals also have nerves like humans allowing them to feel pain. 

Animals are not reliable candidates for research. Sometimes scientists might see that no negative reactions are happening to an animal making them think that this is safe for humans to use but when used on humans, the results are not as good and can be very dangerous. This shows that animal testing can be dangerous when a product is used on a person showing that cosmetics brands shouldn't use animal experiments. 

If animal testing is bad what can we use and are there any alternatives? Yes, there is and it's called testing on human cells or human cell lines. To begin with, human cells are from HUMANS. If scientists and cosmetic brands are using human cells, it is more reliable for research. Also, humans cells are much easier to get. Scientists only have to mutate cells in order to get more. And lastly, human cells show the same advantages as animal cells.
