Don’t Cancel LivePD!

Don’t Cancel LivePD!
The Issue
Thousands of fans were devastated to wake up this morning and learn that LivePD, a show that highlights police officers daily interactions with the public in real time. The interactions are at times intense, but also humorous, heartwarming, and thought provoking. It’s a show that I’m sure has had a positive role in communities, because it shows citizens that cops aren’t all bad, but good and decent people who want to make a difference. The show has also been responsible for finding several lost children, wanted fugitives, and suspects of crimes during its weekly programming.
The current climate towards law enforcement has swung overwhelmingly negative. While George Floyd and Breonna Taylor’s are tragic, infuriating, and cry out for justice, canceling shows like LivePD does nothing to achieve it, but attempt to appease the “cancel culture” who will never be happy until any show that features law enforcement officers in a positive light is off of the air. Yesterday it was COPS, today LivePD and Paw Patrol, tomorrow The First 48.
We the undersigned are imploring A&E Network, Disney Media Networks, and Hearst Communications, to not cancel LivePD or any of its associated programs. This would greatly upset the viewer base who will then have to go watch other networks for those six hours over two days.
