FB IG Twitter: #cleanupyouracthongkong #thisishongkong So today as expected a weee bit of a slow down. I started to bang my head against the wall to think of new tricks. One extremely important one is still in the works, hopefully it is wrapped up by tomorrow. But there had to be other things I could do. I arrived to the shop at 07:30 this morning and ploughed through the days work until noon. I called up a good friend and roped him in to heading out to a trashy spot I know very close to my house. It's a roughly 4,000m float away. Luckily he was free and so we spent a couple hours in the afternoon there before heading back to work. Well at least I went back to work...... :-P The name of this place in Hong Kong is Grass Island. It's in the North-East part of Hong Kong. There is a lot of garbage there. There's also a lot of fish farms....yup that's right. Fish farms. Still want to eat that fish you buy at the market? Well people always say what you can't see can't hurt you. Yeah right buddy.....cancer touches everyone... Anyway, so the idea is to start taking snaps preferably around trash or something that relates to the movement. Then throw it on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter with the hashtags #cleanupyouracthongkong #thisishongkong. I know this won't exactly drive support numbers, but at least it acts as a focal point on social media for our actions. Maybe I am the only one that does it. Whatever. Like I say about surfing in Hong Kong summers, small waves are better than no waves. Another thing I did was change the main petition image to something more suitable. Rather than a photo of the beauty of Hoi Ha, better I show the trash that is literally just around the corner. But there are sites like this all over the Hong Kong SAR. Believe me on that. We've got probably 30 days left to go. Please continue your efforts in encouraging others to sign up. And like I keep saying, it does not matter that you do not even live in Hong Kong. Because us Hong Kongers are the worldwide proven kings of trash, we owe it to the world to educate and change our ways. And so my dream is that people all over the world will start telling the Hong Kong government to educate and change our ways. I think only then will the government wake-up and say yes we have problem and we need to fix our habits before it is too late. Thanks! -Chris P.S.: I am sorry for sending an email every day.... I really don't want to be spammy or whatever. It's just so damn important. Please forgive me for it because this is all for the greater good.
