The Issue
America deserves a court system rooted in fairness, not secrecy. Ryan’s Law creates a national oversight body to investigate judicial misconduct, enforce ethics, and restore public trust.
The American people deserve a justice system that is transparent, accountable, and fair.
But across the country, too many families have witnessed firsthand what happens when judges are left unchecked—when decisions are made behind closed doors, without oversight, and without consequences.
Ryan’s Law – Judicial Integrity and Accountability Act of 2025 is a proposed federal law that creates a national framework for judicial oversight. It establishes an independent body to investigate misconduct, enforce ethical compliance, and rebuild public trust in the courts.
Named after a young girl caught in a family court case that exposed devastating gaps in judicial integrity, Ryan’s Law is about protecting truth, dignity, and the foundational right to due process.
Judges make decisions that shape lives—custody, freedom, safety, truth, and dignity. Those decisions must be free from bias, protected from abuse, and subject to the same standards we expect of any public servant.
Ryan’s Law provides real solutions:
A Judicial Integrity Oversight Commission (JIOC): an independent, nonpartisan federal body to investigate misconduct
National judicial ethics and financial disclosure standards
Independent review of child custody and family court rulings
Full whistleblower protections for court employees
A public database of judicial disciplinary actions
Federal support for states to implement aligned oversight systems
This isn’t about disruption—it’s about restoration.
Courts should not be immune to transparency.
Justice must not only be done—it must be seen to be done.
