We need to take on the gun lobby's extreme agenda and support policies that will help prevent gun violence. When our lawmakers support dangerous policies that make it harder for communities to prevent gun violence in their own neighborhoods, we need to vote them out. We need to protect innocent lives. Having a Red Flag Law/ Extreme Risk Protection Order in Wisconsin will help protect and save lives. Our communities also need to be educated about what these laws are and how they can protect them if themselves or someone they know are in a dangerous situation. I’m going to work tirelessly to get my son Henry’s story out there and give him a voice he was so scared to use. Henry deserves that because justice can not be served if we sit back and do nothing about it. I am not trying to advocate against guns or gun owner’s rights. I’m advocating for laws to disarm domestic abusers and people with a mental illness that makes them dangerous to people around them and themselves. By making this a law for the state of Wisconsin, this will not only help other families such as mine, but most importantly save innocent lives.
