We are the 8th grade Z class of 2025 at the Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School. For a civic action project we are attempting to tackle the ever growing housing crisis. We are planning to do this by gaining support for Massachusetts Bill H1485. This is an act to promote affordable housing for all of MA. The house has given the bill to the Committee on Housing after the Senate concurred on it (passed it back to make changes).

This petition is to show our support for Massachusetts 2025 bill H1485 . This bill will allow government officials to implement a housing production plan to address housing, assess housing needs, attempt to reach affordable housing goals, and make companies comply with the housing production plan. In short, it will allow employees of the government to attempt to make housing more affordable and accessible. This will only affect Massachusetts, but it can potentially change people's lives. If people can afford housing, they may have much better lives, and the passing of this bill may benefit you as well, after all, everyone needs affordable housing! MA housing prices are at an all time high, with no sign of stopping. Now is the time to act, or it may be too late. Help other people and sign this petition today!
