Animal Abuse Register

The Issue

The RSPCA and other animal protection charities do their best to help protect animals from animal abuse. They need concrete proof in order to take someone to court for prosecution for animal abuse - and all though not all prosecutions end in jail time, many do come with lengthy bans.

But how do we , the public , know what someone can and can't do with animals. The answer is we don't.

I want a register to be created with animal abusers names , photographs and what they are allowed to do , own or on the other hand, what they have been banned by law from doing.

There are cases where abusers have gotten away with multiple acts of new abuse because the public don't know what they've been banned from doing. Wouldn't it be simpler if you could access a government website - updated with photographs (made mandatory by law), and the area (not their exact address) where the abusers live. Along with what the law allows them to do.

I think we all would benefit from this system- the RSPCA would be able to prosecute repeat offenders more so with help from the public having  access to a system that prevents us from saying "we didn't know" .

Please sign if you feel this way.
