I have  helped rough sleepers and homeless people,voluntarily, for 4 years. In this time I have witnessed them dying on the streets and the Vagrancy Act of 1824 being enforced many times, along with fines for having no where to sleep or live. This law is BARBARIC and outdated. Homelessness is on the rise due to various factors. Soup kitchens and food banks are springing up everywhere in the UK. The vagrancy act is criminalising homeless people while policies are forcing people into homelessness and poverty. The act needs to be abolished and a SOLUTION for homelessness needs to be addressed and solved in a positive way. 

The community is already doing SO much to help this growing crisis however THOSE in power HAVE to STOP enforcing and using out dated laws to punish those already suffering. We as a community ARE POWERFUL and it is TIME TO STAND UP AND GET THIS LAW ABOLISHED.
