I want to get a skatepark in Dufur, Oregon because, the people including me that skateboard, scooter or do BMX dont have places to do our tricks. For the past few weeks I have been skating at the school with some friends but, after a week or so that gets boring and there is no space for me and a bunch of other people to progress the way we want to. Not every day do we get the chance to go to The Dalles or Hood River to skate or scooter. Also it is said that powell skatepark would be safer because more people get hurt out skating in town than the skatepark. Also creativity, the endless possibilities you can make up at a skatepark that you cant do out in town or on a sidewalk. A skatepark also reduces property damage. Skateparks also reduce illicit actions or behavior. Skateboarding also has mental heath benefits as it burns calories, improve physical strength and a skatepark also has a POSITIVE economic impact.
