Requesting all Parker , Colorado residents to support local cricket ground
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
Contrary to common belief, cricket has a long history in the Rocky mountain area. There are accounts of cricket being played since 1869. Colorado School of mines, Golden Colorado, formed their Cricket Team in 1873. After almost a century the centennial state took a giant leap, when "Colorado Cricket League" or CCL was formalized in around 1985. In 1994 CCL was officially incorporated as a non-profit organization and today it proudly serves to around 500 members.
In the last 5 years, Colorado has seen tremendous influx of new residents moving from all parts of the country specially in the Parker area. We believe there are over 500 residents in Parker alone that support growth of the Cricket game in the area. CCL has grounds in Littleton, Denver, Longmont and Colorado Springs but because of absence of a local cricket field in the Parker, a lot of local residents are unable to play their favorite sports. A local ground will introduce new teams in the Parker region and help grow the sport organically.
We urge all local residents to sign this petition and show their support. This way we can request the local government to help us secure a permanent ground. Please forward this to as many local residents as possible. Thanks for your support.
