Someone who throws two dogs off a balcony has no business getting a plea deal. This was a VIOLENT criminal offense and he should be held accountable for the crime, a 1-5 year prison sentence for animal cruelty. If mental illness has been assessed and is found to be the reason he committed this crime, he should be committed to a state mental hospital, not set back free into the community. Why do we have a criminal justice system if we aren't using it to put away violent criminals?! He is not accused of stealing a candy bar. He is accused of killing two dogs. This is not someone who needs leniency. We need JUSTICE for the two defenseless victims!
