Allow shadowcasting of the movies they own, including CLUE #bringbackclue

The Issue

For over a decade, fans of Paramount's movies have put together "shadowcasts" of films.  These are performances where the movie is played, and the actors mime the actions and props onscreen and audience participation is encouraged.  This is basically what has gone on for 40 years with the movie "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."

Paramount's legal department is under the impression that a group or movie theatre needs "stage rights" to do such a performance.  It is unclear who would own or give permission for these stage rights.  Basically, this is like asking for stage rights of a sing-along performance because fans in the audience are "performing."

For example, the movie "Clue" has just been pulled from a traditional annual showing at the famous indie theatre The Nuart, after over a decade of shadowcast performances that uplifted fans and gave them an opportunity to really show their love for the movie. http://www.buzzfeed.com/adambvary/something-terrible-has-happened-here-the-crazy-story-of-how

Even the writer, director, and many of the stars of "Clue" support the shadowcasting of their movie, and yet Paramount will not allow it for fear of implicating themselves legally in...what, we're not sure.  Who would sue?  Why?  Paramount are still receiving all the profits for these screenings.

I would like to BRING BACK CLUE and put all other Paramount movies back on the table for possible shadowcast tribute shows.  #bringbackclue
