I made this petition because pandas are going extinct because of habitat loss. I picked this topic because me and my brother has loved pandas for a long time and we don’t want them to go extinct because they are one of are favorite animals we even have stuffed pandas from when we were little. Pandas are going extinct because of habitat loss. Infrastructure development (such as dams, roads, and railways) is increasingly fragmenting and isolating panda populations, preventing pandas from finding new bamboo forest and potential mates.  But habitat loss and fragmentation remain the gravest threats to the survival of the species. A large proportion of the pandas habitat has already been lost : logged. For timber and fuel wood, or cleared for agriculture and infrastructure to meet the needs of the areas booming population.Bamboo makes up almost 90% of their diet, and may itself be quite vulnerable in a changing climate. It is subject to periodic, synchronous flowering and die off, forcing giant pandas to relocate to areas with healthy bamboo. There is about 1850 giant pandas are alive in the wild and 300 live in capacity. About 600 pandas live in zoos and breeding centers around the world. If pandas were to go extinct china’s bamboo forests would greatly suffer since pandas help spread bamboo seeds that they pass in their feces.By spreading these seeds, they help bamboo plants to spread and grow. In the past, pandas were hunted for their valuable furs. Poaching has declined in recent years, due to new laws and greater public awareness of conversation efforts. The biggest problem ,however, resulted from habitat loss begin in earned around 1950 when china experienced a population boom. For only 5 dollars you can grow one bamboo.�Pandas are going extinct because of habitat loss.
