Safer residential streets in Palm Coast, Florida

The Issue

Three children have been hit by cars while walking or biking to school in 2015 since school started in August.  Our children should not have to worry about their safety when they are going to school.  We need to make sure our children have a safe, well-lit path to walk and ride on. We have random sidewalks and trails to nowhere around Town Center and US1 that exist for no reason.  Middle schoolers wait for their buses at 6:45 a.m. when it is still pitch black outside with little to no street lighting.  I am looking for them purposefully and it is hard to see them; it would be practically impossible for someone who wouldn't know to look, especially on foggy mornings.  We can do better by our kids.  Thank you.
