Pakistan Citizens’ Call for Action: Rescue Gaza’s Children and Mothers

The Issue

The humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached a critical point, with reports of widespread suffering among its population, particularly mothers and babies. According to the United Nations, at least 576,000 people in Gaza — one-quarter of the population — are on the brink of famine, and one in six children under the age of two in northern Gaza are suffering from acute malnutrition and wasting. This dire situation is exacerbated by the ongoing conflict, which has resulted in the deaths of thousands of Palestinians, including many women and children.

Recent reports from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) paint a grim picture of the conditions in Gaza's hospitals, where doctors are struggling to care for small and sickly newborns, stillbirths are on the rise, and women are forced to undergo C-sections without adequate anesthesia. The lack of essential supplies and medical equipment further compounds the crisis, with insufficient anesthetic available for critical procedures like Caesarean sections.

As citizens of Pakistan, we cannot remain indifferent to the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Gaza. We have a moral obligation to extend our support and solidarity to those in need, and it is incumbent upon the Government of Pakistan to take immediate action to alleviate their suffering. Therefore, we call on the Government of Pakistan to allocate taxpayers' funds to facilitate the evacuation of vulnerable Gazans from this war-torn region and provide them with refuge in Pakistan.

Pakistan has a long history of providing assistance to those in need, and we believe that extending a helping hand to the people of Gaza is not only a humanitarian imperative but also a reflection of our values as a nation. By welcoming Gazans to Pakistan and providing them with shelter, food, and medical care, we can offer them a chance at a better life away from the violence and devastation they currently face.

We also urge the international community to join us in supporting this humanitarian initiative and to provide the necessary resources and assistance to ensure the safe evacuation of Gazans from Gaza. Every life is precious, and every effort must be made to protect the most vulnerable members of society.

Sign this petition to show your support for the evacuation of Gaza's vulnerable population to Pakistan and to urge the Government of Pakistan to take immediate action to address this urgent humanitarian crisis. Together, we can make a difference and provide hope for a better future for the people of Gaza.
