The Special Troops of the Ministry of the Interior of Cuba (MININT) continue their deployment in Havana to guard due to the fear of a social outbreak.

A video sent to the CiberCuba newsroom shows the Special Troops on the main arteries of the capital.

The climate of political tension within the island has increased after the eviction of the headquarters of the San Isidro Movement in Damas 955 on November 26 by the police and health authorities.

The so-called "black berets" have been deployed mostly in central areas of the city and near the stores in MLC that the Government recently opened in the midst of the economic crisis exacerbated by the coronavirus but that have generated great discontent in the population.

On Sunday one of these stores, located at the intersection of Línea and 12 streets, in Vedado, was stoned from the street and its windows were broken.

On Tuesday, access to the Ministry of Culture of Cuba (MINCULT) was blocked by a police operation that simulated heavy construction works in the surroundings, after almost 300 young people demonstrated on November 27 to express their solidarity with the San Movement. Isidro and demand freedom of expression.

Some non-governmental organizations such as Cubalex warn of the repressive wave that could unleash serious damage to Cuban citizens who demonstrate peacefully.

Meanwhile, President Miguel Díaz-Canel launches threatening messages on Twitter against citizens who exercise their right to think differently from the established order, saying that those from "San Isidro are in the wrong country."
