By only employing thin models, they are sending subliminal messages to their young consumers that their bodies are not good enough. Representation is key. Seeing your body type photographed and used to advertise for a brand that you admire does wonders for self-confidence, and only a small portion of us have body types that match those models. It's 2020; we need to start holding these companies accountable for their contribution to this toxic diet and body negative society.
