The Issue

There is a new goal for this petition this bus route has been discontinued until further notice the pandemic literally shut this route down we need to work on getting this route back to the Riders who relied on this route I still think it's an injustice that Arlington Heights on the other side of the city decides what happens for the South Suburban area of Chicago near Chicago Heights let's fight to make this a change someone in the south of the city should decide on this and not people from me other side of the city more updates later.

I'm  Going Relaunch this Petition to see I  we can gain more ground.
Light a few more fires and  let's see if  we the riders  can light a few more fires.
any  aditional  signatures  will be shared and  will  share  any  additional signatures with  Pace.
Im declared a  "Partial Victory" shortly  before  locking  this  petition  down.

Pace responded and they mentioned  considering adding extra runs  in 2020 and believe a compromise can be reached.

So let's  keep sharing and  signing  to  let PACE  know
"WE ARE WATCHING AND WANT TO BE HEARD"  Sign again in 2020.
"let them  now we are still watching wanting to be heard and want to see improvements.

Notes  from Last  year:

The #355 route is essential, especially to a multitude of individuals  who live  along the Wentworth  and  Burnham Ave Corridor. This  route  along  with  the Torrence Ave bus is the  only  connection for many to connect with the rest of the public transit system.
There are many #355 BUS riders who would appreciate more frequent trips  along this  route.  From  Commuters who work or have reason to go in to the city, and  rely  on the  South Shore Train line to get there. Such as Seniors, Disabled Individuals, Veterans, and many others.

Example: Individuals who live in Lansing, need to  get downtown  for various reasons, such as work, the doctor, Court "because they were  called up  for Jury Duty", Veterans who  need  to  go to the VA facility in the city for various  reasons, Other examples are Going to the museums, festivals and  other  events in chicago, or  just to go shopping.
The current  structure  of the route #355 barely  allows  for this,

Runs "out  to Hegewisch" from roughly 5 am to 7 am but does not return  from Hegewisch until after 3 in the afternoon. With No mid day service.
This is very inconvenient for  a multitude of reasons.
any individual  who  can  not  drive  and needs to go anywhere in that  direction for a short time and needs to return home  after that  task  are at a disadvantage.

They "can not return home along this route" until after 3PM and only until  sometime after 7pm.
The general consensus of every rider I spoke all agree that "THE SOLUTION" is to match the Train Schedule. "WITH  RUNS IN AND  OUT ALL DAY" ALONG THE #355 Corridor.
Countless passengers  who use the #355 Route "have stated" "its an inconvenience" to literally  have to plan an entire day for  something so simple  that  may  have time constraints, when they ride the route since you can not return home on the #355 route until after 3:00 in the afternoon, especially for seniors and disabled who may live along this route. so  they  don't ride  because  they do not have a way back from their destination. heres  to lighting more  fires in 2020.
