Gloves in MMA allow fighters to hit harder and favor striking over grappling. By removing gloves in MMA you reduce the likelihood of traumatic brain injury, making MMA a safer sport for the fighters. Traumatic brain injury is currently one of the major issues with combat sports, and inflicts lifelong damage on the athletes. This petition aims to change the opinion of the PA State Athletic commission, as gloves are currently required for all bouts in the state.
