We have seen an unprecedented change in our democratic processes in the past weeks. No longer have decisions been made by elections, petitions and voting. Decisions such as who is deserving of a statue and in what format are being made by those that shout the loudest and are the most violent.

This is unacceptable.

Our history is our history, it cannot be changed. The mob will not be appeased, we must stand firm by our democratic institutions.
