Tell Lee County SC county council to STOP and overturn the law they passed in Feb 2023 to begin killing dogs once the 24 dog limit is exceeded... this goes into effect MARCH 3, 2023!  The shelter staff is desperately trying to find adopters, fosters and other rescues and shelters in SC and out of state to get below the new 24 dog limit, but currently has 41 dogs in its care!

This inhumane, barbaric ordinance must be revoked immediately to save the lives of these innocent dogs...all are healthy and many are puppies under a year. Most dogs are young between 2 and 6 years old and do not deserve this fate, simply because the county WON'T work to expand the shelter and/or help shelter staff facilitate more adoptions, fosters and transfers. 

We need everyone to sign this petition telling the Lee County council the county administrator and county sheriff to STOP this inhumane plan now, before innocent lives are taken on March 3, 2023.
