KSI got robbed in his boxing match against Tommy Fury. He was a huge underdog before fight took place and trained unbelievably hard, just for the judges to rob him of his moment of celebration by granting Tommy an undeserved win. The pair had a 6 round bout, in which KSI won rounds 1,2 and 6, with an argument for 5. KSI was working very well on the inside which clearly didn’t get accounted for. KSI winning rounds 1,2 and 6 make the bout 57-57 which would atleast be a draw, however, Tommy lost a point for constant back of the head shots, which resulted in him losing a point, meaning the bout should have ended 57-56 in favour of KSI. Additionally, Tommy continued to hit KSI in the back of the head and constantly headlock him which he was lucky to not lose further points for. As previously mentioned, it could be argued KSI won round 5, which would mean the bout was 58-56, then after reducing Tommy’s deducted point, the bout would be 58-55 in favour of KSI. At a minimum this bout should’ve been called a draw, or a KSI win, in no world could it possibly be a Tommy Fury win. This was a terrible look for the sport of boxing having the ‘pro’ boxer have to win a rigged decision. This should be overturned to favour KSI and grant him his victory over Tommy Fury. An additional issue with this whole fight was the judges suspicious actions. After the bout, they’re believed to be seen changing scores on their scorecards, with one scorecard coming back having a scribbled out and changed number on it. Two of the judges gave Tommy Fury round 2, which is ludicrous. The punch stats alone show who should’ve won this bout and I and many others believe it is crucial for the integrity of the sport of boxing that this result gets overturned and changed to a KSI victory via unanimous decision, or at a very minimum, a draw. The inconsistency’s shown across all the scorecards and the judging showcase big reasons as to why this fight wasn’t fairly officiated. Furthermore, a simple search on the internet will show everyone’s reaction to fight, where about 90% of the comments about the fight being ‘KSI got robbed’, with even Tommy Fury’s own father (John Fury) saying a decision in favour of KSI would’ve been accepted by him. If the appeal isn’t taken seriously ending with the fight getting overturned, there will be immense social backlash and the sport of boxing will lose a lot of respect. So for the final time, KSI via unanimous decision should be the outcome of this bout. Help it happen.
