I am writing as a concerned sibling. My brother attends Hatch End High School in Harrow, UK and I believe the new rules regarding phone use put students at risk. The school recently implemented policies that are overly restrictive and jeopardise the safety of the students.

In today's world, it is of vital importance for students to have access to their phones in case of emergencies. Furthermore, it has been recorded that mobile phones can serve as important tools in learning and education, even within the classroom environment. Too strict rules can cross the bridge from helpful to harmful.

It is my sincere belief that the staff at Hatch End High School wish to provide an optimal learning environment. However, the current rules on phone usage do not allow for the flexibility that students need. It is our responsibility to ensure that the school environment is as safe and productive as possible for all its students, including my brother.

For these reasons, I ask you to sign this petition to dismiss the new phone rules at Hatch End High School, in order to protect the students' safety and to enhance the quality of their education.
