Congress easily passed the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act of 2007, but President Bush vetoed the bill. The legislation would have ended the ban on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research.

This research will fundamentally transform our ability to combat some of the worst diseases, such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and diabetes. Millions of Americans are waiting for the lifesaving breakthroughs stem cells could offer.

Please do not let the narrow interests of the so-called religious right dictate the future of so many lives and overrule the entire medical establishment.
